“Getting published” used to mean being one of the lucky few to have a manuscript accepted by one of the major publishing houses. In our world of ebooks and tablet computers, however, it’s come to mean something much different. “Getting published” happens as soon as you click a button on your preferred electronic publisher’s Web site, with no worrying about what some unknown editor in New York thinks about your work.

As world-shaking as this has been for authors, it has also caused a paradigm shift on the editorial side. Editors are no longer the gatekeepers. Instead, we’ve become a resource for self-publishing authors, to help them ensure that what they’re putting into the public view is at its best possible quality.

And that’s just how I like it. My job isn’t to tell you whether your book is ready for the market; you’re the one who has to decide that. My job is to help your writing be the best it can be, to polish and shape your diamond in the rough.

Let’s get you published.
